Charlotte,
N.C. (June 29th, 2010)
In a series where aggressiveness and rough
driving are the norm, Justin Lloyd used patience and skill last night in
the Pro Division of the U.S. Legends at Charlotte Motor Speedway's
Summer Shootout. After a first place finish in his heat race, Lloyd
started second in the main event. Lloyd said, “After getting caught up
in a wreck last week due to the overly aggressive drivers at the Summer
Shootout, my objective tonight was to avoid problems and bring my car
home with a top finish.”
Lloyd used his many years of racing skill to avoid a 7 car pileup on lap
5 and a last lap tangle between the 1st and 2nd place cars. Lloyd said,
“Knowing the two front runners, I figured I’d let them fight it out
and take advantage of their mistakes.” In all, there were 5 major
wrecks and Lloyd avoided them all.
Smart, patient driving by Lloyd allowed him to
bring his Chris Rogers Motorsports car home with a strong 2nd place
finish. “Though my car was to loose and I didn’t have the fastest
car tonight, I feel we used what we had to produce an awesome night for
my team and myself”.
Be sure not to miss Justin Lloyd in his Chris Rogers Motorsports #15
race car next week for round 5 of the Kangaroo Summer Shootout Series at
Charlotte Motor Speedway. Racing begins next Tuesday night July 6th at 5
P.M.
