Food Lion Speed Street Autograph Signing

Charlotte, N.C. (May 29th, 2010)

Not many grass-root drivers receive the opportunity to sign autographs at an event such as the Food Lion Speed Street in Charlotte, North Carolina; let alone volunteer and support a heart felt cause set forth by the Ronald McDonald House. Eighteen year old and recent high school graduate Justin Lloyd was given the opportunity to do both this past month.

“The experience was amazing,” said Justin. “I have never had so much fun interacting with fans and supporting a cause at the same time. The night was just a great experience.”

With a small, five dollar donation, fans were able to receive a craft teddy bear, a personalized autograph driver card of ARCA Series Driver Justin Lloyd, and support the construction of the new Ronald McDonald house in the Charlotte area.

“It was definitely a memorable night and I can’t wait until next year to volunteer my time at this event,” exclaimed Lloyd.

The money raised went to a great cause and the other volunteers at the tent were amazed at how well the young driver was able to draw a crowd, help sell the little teddy bears, and explain how the Ronald McDonald House helps out in the community.

Be sure to catch Justin this summer at other upcoming charity events. He will also be racing every Tuesday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the Kangaroo Summer Shootout Series. Racing starts at 5 P.M. and only costs $7 for general admission at the gates.
