Belmont Abbey College Riding with Lloyd at Rockingham

Mooresville, NC (Oct. 8, 2009) - Justin Lloyd will have a new sponsor gracing the hood of his ARCA RE/MAX Series machine this weekend at Rockingham Speedway. Belmont Abbey College has paired up with the young driver as he makes his third career start in the series on Sunday afternoon.

Located in Belmont, N.C., the academic institution has been in existence for over 130 years and is a member of the North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities. Recently named as one of the recommended colleges and universities in a new edition of The Newman Guide to Choosing a Catholic College, Belmont Abbey puts emphasis on individual attention, Catholic identity and the best education for its students.

Belmont Abbey also features a Motorsports Management program, which is revered by many motorsports industry professionals. The four-year degree offered in the program is the first of its kind in the country, and focuses on the business and management side that is the support frame for the sport.

Lloyd, the 17-year-old wheelman of the No. 09 this weekend, knows what it takes to rise to the top not only on the track, but also in the classroom. A senior at Lake Norman High School, Justin participates in Honors and Advanced Placement courses, receiving straight A's for the past five years. His academic performance and passion for success in the driver's seat makes Justin an ideal candidate for the Belmont Abbey-fueled ride.

"Having Belmont Abbey on the car this weekend is an honor for me. A prestigious school with great courses like the Motorsports Management program is something that I respect personally, and I'm excited to give them a good ride on Sunday," Lloyd expressed.
